About

I joined Anglia Ruskin in 2008 as Senior Lecturer in Publishing - the new MA launches in 2009.  My previous role was as Research and Development Manager in the National Institute for Excellence in the Creative Industries at Bangor University, and I continue to help explore research opportunities and interdisciplinary collaborative work in these areas in my current post too.

My PhD thesis was in Medieval Literature (2006) and I have teaching and research interests in this area in particular, as well as in Arthurian literature, the work of David Jones, John Wilmot, Earl of Rochester, and Gerard Manley Hopkins.

Publishing-related research areas are in bookselling, digital aesthetics, ebooks and ereaders, textual transformations, transliteracy, capturing and analysing ephemeral artifacts of creativity, (particularly in literary festivals) and social networking and cultural change.  I'm also interested in the ways archives and collections are used and how working with their custodians can open up exciting new opportunities for research.
